Compensation: $150,000–$310,000
The OpportunityA Boston-based IP boutique is seeking a junior to mid-level Patent Prosecution Associate with a background in electrical engineering or computer science. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications
- Draft high‑quality patent applications and Office Action responses
- Work directly with inventors, engineers, and in‑house legal teams
- Support strategic patent portfolio development and management
- Assist with due diligence, licensing, and litigation support as required
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (Computer Science also considered)
- Active USPTO registration required
- 1–4 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm setting
- Experience with U.S. and international patent prosecution
- Industry experience or patent litigation exposure is a plus
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
