Responsibilities

As the QHSE Manager, you are involved in formulating and implementing the QHSE policy, designing and deploying QHSE management systems, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, and implementing environmental and occupational health and safety (OHS) projects while monitoring their deployment and application within your scope.

You are responsible for preventing all occupational hazards that could jeopardize the safety of employees, subcontractors, and/or impair the performance of equipment and industrial installations.

You must ensure compliance with QHSE standards, regulations, and requirements, in coordination with the Group QHSE Management and the Management of your assigned entity, as well as the site's OHS and QE teams, and all operational and site managers.

Here Are Your Main Tasks

• Implement the Site QHSE policy and approach and contribute to the improvement of the Group policy;
• Identify and analyze risks and impacts at the site level concerning health, safety, working conditions, and the environment and implement necessary preventive measures;
• Ensure compliance with and monitor the implementation of QHSE policies, approaches, and standards within your scope while remaining attentive to potential interactions with other departments and entities;
• Monitor the implementation of the site QHSE action plan and establish dashboards to monitor site QHSE performance;
• Conduct QE and OHS audits and monitor the implementation of corrective action plans;
• Lead the certification projects for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001;
• Participate in managing interfaces with external organizations (Hydraulic basin agencies, mining services, etc.);
• Contribute to internal and external environmental communication in coordination with Group stakeholders;
• Propose and conduct training and awareness-raising actions on QHSE standards to be deployed internally;
• Ensure regulatory and normative monitoring;
• Establish surveillance plans for activity impacts;
• Ensure the availability of individual and collective protective equipment for personnel;
• Handle incidents or accidents in collaboration with the relevant parties;
• Participate in external meetings or working groups with other companies, interprofessional associations, etc;
• Advise all site services on QHSE matters and systematically report identified risks to the Management with a proposed action plan;
• Draft annual reports and summaries as part of reporting requirements.
