Position Summary

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator – Concord, MA

Woodard & Curran seeks an experienced operator to run the world’s first CoMag system. The role focuses on daily operation, laboratory analysis, record keeping, process control, and maintenance of a 1 MGD advanced wastewater treatment facility.

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant equipment, building, and grounds.
• Perform daily process monitoring and comprehensive maintenance of the CoMag system.
• Conduct laboratory analysis, maintain accurate records, and manage process control.
• Assist with maintenance projects and general facility and grounds maintenance.

• Standard work hours:
  Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for plant coverage outside normal hours, including weekends.
• Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed.

• Massachusetts Grade IV or higher license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum one year of experience in wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance, or equivalent education.
• Must reside within one hour of Concord, MA.
• High school diploma or trade school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of biological/chemical treatment processes and aptitude for laboratory analysis.
• Capacity to lift or move up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
• Successful candidates must complete a background check, pre‑placement physical, and drug screen.

$24 – $35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
