Position Summary
Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator – Concord, MA
Woodard & Curran seeks an experienced operator to run the world’s first CoMag system. The role focuses on daily operation, laboratory analysis, record keeping, process control, and maintenance of a 1 MGD advanced wastewater treatment facility.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant equipment, building, and grounds.
- Perform daily process monitoring and comprehensive maintenance of the CoMag system.
- Conduct laboratory analysis, maintain accurate records, and manage process control.
- Assist with maintenance projects and general facility and grounds maintenance.
- Standard work hours:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. - Participate in an on‑call rotation for plant coverage outside normal hours, including weekends.
- Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed.
- Massachusetts Grade IV or higher license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum one year of experience in wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance, or equivalent education.
- Must reside within one hour of Concord, MA.
- High school diploma or trade school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of biological/chemical treatment processes and aptitude for laboratory analysis.
- Capacity to lift or move up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
- Successful candidates must complete a background check, pre‑placement physical, and drug screen.
$24 – $35 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
