Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Conduct in‑home assessments and ensure that patient care meets regulatory and company standards.
  • Oversee compliance with state and federal home health regulations, including documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Supervise and manage the home care nursing team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to nurses and caregivers to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Manage scheduling and ensure adequate staff coverage for all home care cases.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Must hold a valid and unrestricted RN license in the state of operation.
  • CPR Certification
  • Reliable Car, Driver's License and Auto Insurance – Preferred.
  • Clinical Experience – At least 2-3 years in home health, hospice, or skilled nursing.
  • IV Infusion Therapy Expertise – Proficient in administering and overseeing IV infusions, including medications, hydration, and TPN.
  • Wound Care – Provide wound care including dressing changes, infection prevention, and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT/Wound VAC management).
  • Sales & Business Development Mindset – Ability to attract and retain clients and collaborate with referral partners.
  • Leadership & Management – Strong ability to supervise, train, and mentor nurses, aides, and caregivers.
  • Care Plan Development – Skilled in creating and overseeing patient care plans, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance & Risk Management – Experience in auditing, incident reporting, and maintaining compliance with policies.
  • Problem‑Solving & Decision‑Making – Ability to handle staffing issues, patient concerns, and operational challenges quickly and efficiently.
  • Flexibility & Availability – Comfortable with on‑call responsibilities and responding to emergencies.
Nice to Have
  • Home Health or Private Duty Nursing Experience – Familiarity with Bright Star Care’s business model is a plus.
