Position: Clinical Nurse Manager I Pediatrics Atrius Health

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, is an innovative health care leader delivering an effective, connected system of care for patients across 28 practice locations in eastern Massachusetts. Our team of physicians, PAs/NPs, and ancillary clinicians works collaboratively in a value-based philosophy, partnering with hospitals, rehab, and nursing facilities.

As the Clinical Nurse Manager you will be responsible for the management and oversight of daily clinical operations in a service line across one or more practice locations. Responsibilities include clinical leadership, operations, patient and employee safety and satisfaction, quality care, fiscal management, and personnel management. The role serves as a clinical nursing resource and operations partner in the areas of quality improvement, regulatory compliance, safety, and professional development for designated sites.

  • Location: Concord and Chelmsford sites
  • Department: Pediatrics
  • Schedule: Full time, 40 hours weekly, 5 eight‑hour shifts between 8 am and 6 pm (variable)
Primary Responsibilities
  • Administrative Scope:
    Less than 0.50 FTE for administrative duties; oversee daily operations for pediatrics in Concord and Chelmsford with a less complex clinical scope.
  • Clinical & Operational Leadership:
    Partner with Operations to ensure optimal functioning, respond to urgent issues, and lead quality and safety initiatives.
  • Practice Improvement:
    Use data—including Press Ganey and HOSHIN metrics—to identify and lead improvements in clinical quality and service excellence.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Own clinical safety responsibilities, address safety reports, and ensure regulatory compliance across the service line.
  • Conflict & Issue Resolution:
    Manage patient complaints and daily operations concerns.
  • Communication & Representation:
    Communicate key updates to leadership and staff; represent nursing in committees, meetings, and special projects.
  • Human Resources Management:
    Supervise clinical staff, manage daily staffing, conduct performance reviews, foster professional development, and work with the Regional Nurse Manager on code‑of‑conduct concerns.
  • Onboarding &

    Competency:

    Oversee onboarding, training, and annual competency validation for clinical staff; promote mentorship and education.
  • Professional Accountability:
    Uphold ANA Code of Ethics, engage in career development, and contribute to the profession through mentorship and presentations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Proven ability to act cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Proven solid interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of collaboration and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of demonstrated clinical experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience in a management/leadership role within a nursing collective bargaining environment.
  • Working knowledge of organizational systems and operations.
Benefits and Compensation

Pay ranges from $72,800 to $130,000 annually for full‑time employment, based on local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. In addition to salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, an equity stock purchase option, and a 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility). All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
