About this roleJob Summary
The clinical resource nurse partners with the Nurse Director and Radiology Leadership to ensure operational readiness of the department in the provision of direct nursing care for the IR patient. This position has operational oversight responsibilities and participates with the nursing team in care planning and delivery, utilizing the nursing process to provide appropriate comprehensive care, in accordance with the stated philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Service Department and the Dept of Radiology.
The clinical resource nurse facilitates communications between the care areas and personnel in Radiology as well as coordinating care of IR patients with outside departments (ER, other hospitals, CCU) in collaboration with the unit leadership. The Clinical Resource Nurse serves as a role model to IR Staff.
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school required.
- Minimum of two years experience in a procedural area and/or ICU required.
- Previous charge nurse or nurse manager experience strongly preferred.
- Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required.
- BLS healthcare provider required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Basic nursing skills.

- Computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
