Nurse Manager – Obstetrics

Schedule:

8-hour days, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with every other weekend/holiday on call.

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Minimum five years of experience in obstetrical nursing with demonstrated leadership abilities required
• Current licensure to practice professional nursing required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP certification required
• Previous supervisory experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure staffing levels are adequate to provide optimal patient care.
• Function in the role of charge nurse when working clinically.
• Lead staff meetings to review operational plans and protocols.
• Maintain department schedule and manage time cards for assigned staff.
• Participate in performance evaluations and assist with staff education.
• Promote professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Compliance / Notes:

• On-call hours are not compensated separately.
• Participation in hospital committees and programs as necessary.
