Schedule: Full Time
Pay Range: $36.78 - $73.57 / Hourly
Shift: Day/Eve shift
Hours: 11am-7:30pm
Join our Surgical Day Care team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing same-day surgical procedures. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll provide both pre-operative and post-operative care, helping patients safely prepare for surgery and recover with confidence before returning home the same day.
You’ll work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment alongside surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary care teams-where your clinical expertise and voice truly matter.
What You’ll Do- Deliver comprehensive pre- and post-surgical nursing care for same-day surgery patients
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes with sound judgment
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery at home
- Ensure all care aligns with hospital standards, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing guidelines
- Maintain accountability for the safety and quality of care you provide or delegate
Minimum Qualifications Education
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
- Experience in CCU, ED, or PACU strongly preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - Healthcare Provider certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
- PALS required
- IV Certification preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
- Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and patient experience
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer systems
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
