Seasonal Fine Gardener

• love working outdoors and getting dirty
• have reliable transportation to and from jobsites (mostly located in Newton and Brookline)
• be able to complete physical demands of the job regularly, including but not limited to: standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching with hands and arms, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/ moving up to 25 pounds. We are on the move all day long.
• be able and willing to work in a variety of weather conditions
• have a positive attitude and demonstrate willingness to learn/teach others
• be a contributing member of our team
• have minimum hobbyist gardening experience, professional experience preferred
• strong knowledge of New England zoned plants preferred
• artistic eye for pruning, plant placement, color combinations and style preferred

VIRIDIS Design & Gardens seeks full and/or part time seasonal Fine Gardeners to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a love of gardening, enjoys working outside and has experience as a professional or hobbyist gardener.

• full or part time, minimum 2 days a week
• daily hours: 7:30-approx. 3:45, subject to inclement weather
• season April 1st-December 31st, weather permitting

• hourly wage, starting at $23.50/hr based on experience. Overtime at 1.5 hourly wage rate, in excess of 40 hrs/wk.
• weekly paycheck that includes cell phone and health care stipend
• yearly gear and educational advancement stipend
• paid time off, accrued weekly, and 6 paid holidays
