Family of 10 adults total, seeking a private chef for their home on Martha’s Vineyard
The family consists of 2 main principals with 3 married adult children and 2 small grandchildren plus occasional guests. They are rarely all at the property at the same time so service required will vary. Staff are there to assist for service when dinners are more formal, or they are entertaining which can be approximately once per week. Normal service is family style or buffet style.
No staff meals are required.
DURATION:
June 1 through Labor day with flexibility if chef wants to start a little earlier to acclimate and prepare for the family’s arrival.
SCHEDULE:
Tuesday and Wednesdays off. Chef usually leaves food for days off self serve
MEALS: Lunch 1200pm and dinner 630pm.
CUISINE: All styles enjoyed and simple, fresh, seasonal, meals are preferred. The family on the whole are clean eaters. Fresh, unprocessed foods.
ALLERGIES TO CONSIDER :
no nuts of any kind and light on dairy products, no coconut.
HOUSING: TBD. Chef will be housed on property but separate from the main house.
There is a commercial kitchen in one building where chef will prepare meals and bring all to the main home where there are warming drawers to keep any food ready for self service. Staff can help clear and serve in more formal settings. Vehicle will be provided.
Ideal chef has private household experience with references and works well with a team. Experience in the cape cod area is a plus but not required.
