The Garden Shop & Receiving Manager is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of materials and product receiving processes at the location including maintaining the quality and appearance of all Garden Shop products including pottery, statuary, garden décor and tools as well as all seasonal holiday and Christmas decor, to ensure all product lines are properly merchandised in accordance with company standards.
The continual assessment, evaluation and placement of the inventory is required to improve customer experience, increase store sales and support the General Manager with product replenishment recommendations as needed. This role is also responsible for leading the operations related to the effective and efficient completion of the receiving process including the checking, validation and movement of inventory as it arrives at the store.
Continually providing exceptional customer service across the store including supporting front-end operations and POS functionality is essential to success in this role. Communication with all other store managers as well as the Inventory Control Associate is required.

Garden Shop & Décor- Coordinate inventory needs with General Manager and Operations Manager to efficiently and effectively receive product, execute displays and conduct floor moves related to the garden shop department and appropriate product lines
- Implement design displays across the store in accordance with merchandising plan that integrate products from several departments to pique customer interest
- Build employee and customer relationships through routine interactions and the transfer of specific product knowledge and usage to answer questions and inquiries.
- Manage and maintain the volume and appearance of inventory for all Garden Shop related department products in accordance with company standards
- Routinely communicate department trends and recommendations to the General Manager to help make informed purchase and product replenishment orders
- Effectively utilize the space of the department to produce improved displays and make recommended floor moves and product placement ideas to the Merchandising team and company Buyers
- Ensure displays remain visually appealing with high quality products all in accordance with company standards
- Maintain and communicate all administrative tasks and documentation related to department needs including seasonal staffing needs, accurate receiving of product, and all other documents and procedures needed by the Inventory Control Associate including the proper recording of product movement
- Develop and communicate department specific directives to associates to ensure the movement and display of department specific inventory in an effective and timely manner
