Are you looking to work with a great team of professionals who provide top notch facilities maintenance on a gorgeous Olmstead designed campus? This is the role for you! Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Facilities, execute on all matters related to general maintenance across a 350-acre campus with buildings totaling over 550,000 square feet. The Maintenance Technician will perform work as part of constructing, maintaining, repairing, or modifying buildings and facilities throughout the School’s campus.

ScheduleGenerally, five consecutive shifts including one weekend day per week 7AM – 3:30PM with some overtime work as needed. Seasonally respond to the need for snow removal, athletic field support, emergency closings, and other special circumstances.

- Participates in the execution of routine maintenance schedules for carpentry on campus.
- Maintain and improve the integrity of the School’s buildings and facilities, etc.
- Performs and completes a variety of routine and preventive maintenance tasks with quality workmanship on buildings and facilities; tasks may include general repairs in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems; repairing and replacing doors, windows, and hardware; patching walls and ceilings; and performing light painting tasks.
- Perform general maintenance on both commercial and residential facilities such as repairing doors & windows, installing blinds or shelving, etc.
- Safely and efficiently operates a variety of power and hand tools to complete jobs accurately and to specifications; such tools may include common items such as drills, saws, multi-meters, wrenches, and plumbing tools.
- Protects furnishings, equipment, and other property during maintenance and repair work by properly covering or removing items.
- Restores worksites to original condition by removing debris and equipment used during the project and returning property, furnishings and equipment to proper location.
- Develops and maintains records regarding time spent and materials used for specific jobs.
- Provides status reports including the status of work projects, materials used, and hours spent performing labor to supervisor or other appropriate project lead.
- Performs spot checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition; services tools and equipment as needed and returns damaged items for repair or replacement.
- Ensures compliance with federal regulations, policies, and laws regarding construction, repairs, and proper environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal, or use of chemical substances.
- Follows standard safety precautions; adheres to operator’s instructions when using power tools; wears recommended protective equipment such as goggles, hearing protectors, and/or work gloves.
- Assist other members of the broader facilities division as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
