Join us as a Senior Software Engineer on the Patriot Software Team in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, where you will design and deliver real‑time C/C++ software for the world’s pre‑eminent air defence system.
What You Will Do- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C and C++ for complex real‑time systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, ensuring system integration and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and efficiency in complex environments.
- Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, including system architecture and design specifications.
- Support light travel and off‑hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) when required.
- Maintain exclusive on‑site presence in a SCIF environment.
- Typical requirement of a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience developing complex systems and applications using C/C++.
- Experience with embedded systems, real‑time systems, or large‑scale applications.
- Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles, especially in high‑concurrency and distributed systems.
- Experience with multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Experience with network communication protocols, shell scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), and development tools like Git and Clearcase.
- Experience with embedded real‑time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks, Integrity).
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Salary and BenefitsSalary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
