Qualifications

Education
:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education
  :
  Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience
  :
  One year of experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical and medication histories
• Preparing patients for exams and assisting with provider evaluations and procedures
• Performing basic diagnostic testing as appropriate and documenting care accurately
• Reinforcing provider-directed patient education
• Maintaining clean, well-stocked exam rooms and adhering to safety and infection-prevention standards
• Assisting with scheduling tests, referrals, follow-ups, and supporting front-office operations
• Participating in quality initiatives, staff meetings, and other MA-related duties

Work Environment

• Outpatient clinical setting with frequent patient interaction.
• Requires standing, walking, lifting, and use of clinical equipment.
• Potential exposure to infectious materials; PPE provided.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
