Staff Accountant

Our non-profit client is seeking a Staff Accountant for their team! If you have at least two years of experience, then consider this full-time, direct-hire role.

• Track and complete grant accounting tasks
• Prepare journal entries
• Manage fixed assets
• Assist with budget preparation, audits, and policy development
• Prepare financial reporting
• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Perform additional tasks as required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit setting
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel; knowledge of Abila MIP or equivalent accounting system (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Knowledge of federal and state grant regulatory requirements preferred, including budget preparation, oversight, and reporting
• High attention to detail
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
