Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Individual Tax Manager, on behalf of a mid-tier public accounting  this role, you will be the technical anchor for individual taxation services, leading significant client relationships, driving strategic tax planning, and empowering our junior staff to grow.

• Location: Concord, New Hampshire
• Salary: Up to $145,000
• Industry: Public accounting

• Technical Leadership: Serve as our firm's technical expert on individual taxation. You will oversee, review, and sign off on highly complex returns, including a mastery of advanced Schedule Cs and Es.
• Client Advisory: Proactively identify tax planning opportunities, lead strategic discussions, and manage client relationships from start to finish. You will also coordinate IRS and state taxing authority audits.
• Team Mentorship: Lead by example. You will monitor workloads, delegate tasks, provide constructive feedback, and identify training opportunities to elevate the entire tax team.
• Process & Efficiency: Take ownership of project timelines, client billing (including value billing), and workflow bottlenecks. You will continually suggest internal process improvements and serve as a firm software administrator.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (or a related field).
• Credentials: An active CPA or EA designation
• Experience: 6+ years of dedicated tax experience.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, whether you are breaking down complex tax laws for a client, offering feedback to a junior preparer, or presenting to partners.
