Summary

To monitor the establishment and maintenance of licensee house accounts and other accounts receivable due to the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, including investigating issues, implementing solutions, and providing customer support while following all NH Liquor Commission rules and policies.

Experience

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after high school. Education and experience must be in accounting.

4‑year accounting degree and at least one year of experience in accounts receivable.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise licensee house accounts by overseeing posted invoices, collections, and accounts receivable payments.
  • Maintain ledgers of appropriate balances of accounts receivable.
  • Investigate licensee finance and payment related questions and develop and implement solutions.
  • Act as liaison to licensees regarding their liquor accounts and educate external customers of the Liquor Commission credit management program.
  • Collect, analyze, and present a variety of accounts receivable data using MS add‑ins and ERP system, including queries and uploads for payment processing and journal entries for corrections and adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist the AR Supervisor with reviewing credit applications and approvals for in‑house credit for active liquor and wine licensees; oversee, prepare, and monitor overdue notices, house credit letters, and licensee credit statements.
  • Prepare financial reports to provide management with analysis of financial activities; prepare aging reports and reconcile revenue funds to ensure funds are posted to the correct revenue source; review and resolve store inquiries regarding daily store financials and customer payments.
  • Monitor and maintain daily reconciliation of gift card and promo card activity, including all activations and redemptions for all stores and HQ location.
  • Perform ad‑hoc tasks as required, including but not limited to research, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Supervise activities for the part‑time Senior Accounting Technician.
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and professional service to all customers and licensees.

Total Compensation Information
