As an accounting intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in the field of accounting, applying your academic knowledge in a professional environment. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will assist with various accounting and tax engagements, including data entry, financial statement preparation, and tax return support. You will have the opportunity to develop analytical and problem‑solving skills while gaining exposure to accounting principles, industry best practices, and client service.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Professionalism in handling confidential client and firm information

• Assist in audit or accounting procedures, including preparing supporting documentation
• Prepare and organize work papers to support financial reporting and tax compliance
• Help with basic tax return preparation and conduct introductory tax research
• Support the preparation of financial statements, applying basic knowledge of GAAP
• Assist in reconciling accounts, analyzing variances, and documenting findings
• Perform data entry and processing to support accounting engagements
• Maintain accurate records of time and expenses for billing purposes
• Attend training sessions and professional development events
• Participate in client meetings and firm networking opportunities
• Perform special projects or other tasks as assigned

Financial Reporting & GAAP:

• Develop a basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Learn how to apply accounting principles to client transactions
• Assist in identifying and improving client accounting procedures

Audit & Assurance:

• Gain exposure to audit methodologies and engagement workflows
• Develop an understanding of internal controls and risk assessment

Tax Compliance & Research:

• Understand basic tax filing requirements and commonly used tax forms
• Assist in tax calculations and recognize how numbers flow between tax forms
