The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission has a part-time vacancy for a Sr. Accounting Technician AR.

Summary

To monitor the establishment and maintenance of payment sources for the New Hampshire Liquor Commission including investigating issues and implementing solutions while implementing and following all NHLC rules and policies.

Responsibilities
  • DETAILED TASKS (STANDARD):

Detailed Tasks (agency/Position-specific)
  • Prepare, collect, analyze, upload, and review financial reports and NH Treasury bank reports regarding a variety of accounts receivable to General Ledger. Research and resolve any variances.
  • Prepare and reconcile revenue funds to ensuring funds are posted to the correct revenue source.
  • Investigate licensee finance and payment related questions and develop and implement solutions and create opportunities to educate these customers in the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission cash/credit management program.
  • Review and resolve store inquiries regarding daily store financials and customer payments.
  • Maintain the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission office petty cash and revolving fund. Including: (1) the preparation and disbursement of checks; (2) the accounting of proper general ledger account #; and (3) the preparation of necessary paperwork for petty cash replenishment. Reconcile monthly bank statement for the office revolving fund bank account.
  • Provide guidance and cross‑functional support to NHLC Accounts Receivable staff.
  • Develop and maintain procedural documents for own position according to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform ad‑hoc tasks as required including but not limited to research, analysis and reconciliation. Assist in preparing Adhoc reports.
