Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

We are seeking a full‑time (37.5 hr/week) Accountant to research, analyze, and provide financial information and reports to management.

• Prepare general journal entries documenting business transactions.
• Maintain supporting schedules for various general ledger accounts.
• Compile, analyze, and prepare financial statements and information, including general ledger account reconciliations and assist in the preparation of regulatory reports.
• Collect appropriate data and assist with the preparation of state insurance department financial reports and premium tax returns.
• Assist with and prepare documents for the annual audit and other external audits.
• Prepare financial statements, analyze current results, and report findings to senior management.
• Outline and implement general accounting processes; document information.
• Assist with the implementation of accounting information systems and accounting procedure improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, plus at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting policies and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong computer competence.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

The typical work schedule for this on-site position is Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., totaling 37.5 hours per week.
