Position: ACCOUNTANT I - HQ CONCORD (Job ID# - 52267)

ACCOUNTANT I – Full‑time position in Concord, NH – State of New Hampshire Liquor Commission.

Salary: $19.96 – $26.41 per year.

Location:

50 Storrs Street, Concord, NH 03302.

Summary

Implements and follows NH Liquor Commission inventory procedures, maintains control of all liquor and wine inventory (stores, warehouses, in‑transit) and oversees the inventory accounting procedures. Reviews computer output for data and human errors affecting the inventory. Applies manual and computerized procedures to detect and correct problems.

Education and Experience

Minimum qualifications:

Associate’s degree and 1 year of experience OR equivalent combination of 3 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in accounting, business administration, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of experience in accounting or auditing work.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, collect, analyze, upload, and review financial reports and NH Treasurer’s bank reports regarding a variety of accounts receivable data including credit cards, cash and checks data to General Ledger. Research and resolve any variances.
  • Prepare and reconcile revenue funds to ensure funds are posted to correct revenue source.
  • Monitor and reconcile online lottery sales and instant payouts activity to cash deposits. Resolve any discrepancies and upload data to the General Ledger.
  • Reconcile and resolve Store Operations Over/Short account.
  • Investigate licensee finance and payment related questions and develop and implement solutions and create opportunities to educate these customers in the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission cash/credit management program.
