2026 Residential Programs & Administration Internship
Community Bridges is a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Concord, NH and the Lakes Region. Community Bridges offers internships to students, graduate students, and recent graduates with demonstrated interest or experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Each internship includes an educational component, through which interns contextualize their experience and reflect on their service.
All internships are unpaid and correspond roughly with the US semester system.
- Summer Internship:
June 2026 – August 2026 - Fall Internship:
September 2026 – December 2026
First consideration is given to applicants that can commit at least 16 hours per week over the course of the semester outlined above. Applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of whether their schedule fits the semester system;
Community Bridges makes exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Slots fill quickly and candidates are encouraged to apply earlier than the requested date above.
Please note that this internship will be a hybrid format, meaning that some in-person hours at our Concord, NH office are required.
Residential Programs & Administration Internship Overview
The Residential Programs & Administration Intern will work closely with Community Bridges Director of Behavioral Health Science and the Residential Day Services program to assist non-profit programing. This internship will aid in general administration tasks relating to the Residential Day Services department, provide support to individuals, and assist with data entry.
Responsibilities
- Handle inquires over-the-phone or email to update DSPs contact information and mailing addresses
- Work within systems to complete data entry for RDS programming
- Lead data entry certification project to digitalize required paperwork for residential homes
- Assist with case note entry for RDS clients
- Support in the distribution of new hire training to new DSPs
- Support the RDS team in applying individuals for public benefits, as needed
- Other projects and duties as assigned and dependent upon intern's education goals
Required Skills/Abilities
- Interest in advocacy and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ability to work respectfully in a multicultural environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to switch gears quickly
- Professional, discretion, and maturity in dealing with confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with data entry a plus
