Fulcrum Associates is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support preconstruction efforts across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects. This role plays a key part in early project planning, budgeting, and collaboration with operations, clients, and design teams.

We are not simply filling a seat — we are looking for someone who will strengthen our preconstruction capability and contribute to winning work as we continue to grow.

Typical Project Size

• Majority: $1M – $12M
• Occasional: $13M – $80M

• Prepare accurate conceptual, GMP, design-build, and hard bid estimates
• Develop and maintain bid documents throughout preconstruction
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals
• Generate quantity takeoffs and cost analyses
• Build and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships
• Attend pre-bid walkthroughs and client/design meetings
• Assist in project RFIs and proposal preparation
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating database
• Compare estimated vs. actual costs and analyze discrepancies
• Collaborate closely with Operations, PMs, and Business Development
• Present estimates and participate in client discussions

• 8–10+ years construction estimating experience
• Experience in commercial, residential, medical, or similar sectors
• Ability to independently run estimates (minimal supervision)
• Strong understanding of construction means & methods
• Knowledge of New Hampshire market pricing preferred
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

• Building Connected (or ability to learn quickly)
• Microsoft Office / Excel
• On-Screen Takeoff / Procore experience a plus
