KLR Executive Search Group is proud to partner with a large, reputable Construction Company to recruit their next Project Manager. In business for several decades, this large commercial and multi-unit residential Construction Company has developed into a full-service, award-winning Construction Manager, Design-Builder, and General Contractor serving New Hampshire and select projects in bordering states. The Company employs skilled commercial carpenters and laborers resulting in cost and scheduling advantages to their clients, and also has the capability to perform work with its own personnel.

The Opportunity:

The Project Manager is responsible for the entire successful execution of a project. Their primary responsibilities are to plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. This is a high-responsibility role, requiring strong estimating capability, financial ownership, client-facing skills, and comfortability in a direct, accountable culture.

Essential Functions:
  • During the pre-construction phase, attend all design meetings, continuously evaluate the materials and products being proposed for constructability. Oversee the preparation of estimates for the conceptual, schematics, and design development stages.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Determine and request labor requirements.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress, and cost tracking.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback and performance evaluations for Project Superintendents.
  • Make recommendations and execute decisions that greatly affect corporate relationship with Client and project profitability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Mgmt, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in commercial construction.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
