2026 Multimedia & Communications Internship
Community Bridges is a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Concord, NH and the Lakes Region. Community Bridges offers internships to students, graduate students, and recent graduates with demonstrated interest or experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Each internship includes an educational component, through which interns contextualize their experience and reflect on their service.
All internships are unpaid and correspond roughly with the US semester system.
- Summer Internship:
June 2026 – August 2026 - Fall Internship:
September 2026 – December 2026
First consideration is given to applicants that can commit at least 16 hours per week over the course of the semester outlined above. Applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of whether their schedule fits the semester system;
Community Bridges makes exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Slots fill quickly and candidates are encouraged to apply earlier than the requested date above.
Please note that this internship will be a hybrid format, meaning that some in-person hours at our Concord, NH office are required.
Multimedia & Communications Internship Overview
The Multimedia & Communications Intern will work with Community Bridges External Relation to create and execute multimedia projects that highlight the organization's work and mission. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multimedia content that can be repurposed for fundraising events, social media, recruiting, emails, and more! This internship will be instrumental in expanding the organization's digital footprint.
Responsibilities
- Create and update graphic design content for internal and external use
- Assist with drafting and planning social media content
- Assemble materials for donor meetings and tabling events
- Support in event promotion and other activities as needed
- Assist in the design and development monthly family newsletters
- Research current events in the community to support advocacy for individuals with disabilities
- Promote philanthropic endeavors and programs on behalf of the agency
- Communicate legislative events and activities to families and stakeholders as they occur
Required Skills/Abilities
- Interest in advocacy and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Passion for marketing, communications, and/or fundraising
- Ability to work respectfully in a multicultural environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to switch gears quickly
- Professional, discretion, and maturity in dealing with confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proficiency in Canva and/or Publisher
