Special Education Teacher - Longmont, COMake a lasting impact by supporting students as a contract Special Education Teacher for an elementary school serving the Longmont, CO area. This full-time opportunity runs from late August through early June, offering structured hours in a welcoming school environment. The role focuses on serving a mild to moderate caseload and partnering with dedicated teams committed to student success.
Key
Qualifications:
- Current and valid CDE Special Education (SPED) licensure
- Experience teaching or supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and implement differentiated instruction
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to elementary students receiving special education services
- Design and implement individualized lesson plans based on students' unique needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Contribute to a positive school culture and uphold professional ethics
