Teacher of the Visually Impaired (Part-Time)

Southern Central New Hampshire

Position Responsibilities

As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will:

  • Provide direct and consultative special education services to students with visual impairments
  • Adapt instructional materials using Braille, large print, auditory, and assistive technology methods
  • Conduct assessments related to functional vision and educational needs
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, related service providers, and school teams
  • Support students in developing independence and access to the educational environment
  • Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources
Qualifications
  • State certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive instructional strategies
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Passion for helping students succeed and reach their full potential
