Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a part-time Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (TODHH) for a school-based position in New Hampshire schools for the 2026–2027 school year
.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and recent graduates who are passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments in an inclusive, student-centered educational environment.
Position Details- Job Title: Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (TODHH)
- Location: Southern and Central New Hampshire (Onsite)
- Schedule: Part-Time, Flexible Schedule
- Pay Rate: $45–$50/hour (consistent weekly pay based on scheduled hours)
- Setting: Public school / special education
- School Year: 2026–2027

License reimbursement
- Provide individualized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessible learning environments
- Use American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), special education staff, and related service providers
- Support development of communication, language, and academic skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Utilize assistive technology and adaptive strategies to support student access
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers
- Advocate for student needs and promote inclusive educational practices
- Valid New Hampshire
DOE Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Certification - ASL (American Sign Language) proficiency / certification
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Deaf Education or related field
- Experience or interest in special education, deaf education, or hearing impairment services
- Strong communication, collaboration, and instructional skills
