In this role you will develop expertise in research and application of thermal spray coatings for thermal, wear and corrosion protection. You will align technical parameters with commercial project objectives to achieve desired outcomes. Further operate thermal spray equipment and designs/modifies tooling and fixturing for new and improved processes. Analyze data and resolves technical challenges to drive product and process development forward.

Document experiments and maintains operating procedures, safety training and technical instructions. Additionally collaborate with customers and teams while contributing to productivity improvements using Lean and Six Sigma.

You will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Additionally you will have hands-on experience in industrial, automotive or laboratory environments. Further strong project management skills with ability to manage tasks effectively. Familiarity with thermal spray technologies is preferred. Basic programming knowledge such as Python, MATLAB or C, and CAD/tooling experience like Solid Works or Inventor is preferred.

Willingness to travel up to 25% and meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 lbs. and extended standing or sitting.
