Program Assistant II

Department of Transportation, Bureau of Planning & Community Assistance

Full-time position. Salary: $19.96 per hour – $26.41 per hour.

Summary

Coordinate, monitor, and maintain project and financial information for locally administered projects and other bureau-administered services and programs, including Block Grant Aid.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Equivalent combination of three years of education and experience after high school in business management, administration, accounting or related fields.
  • License/Certification: Valid driver’s license.
  • Other Requirements: Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet hiring agency standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn additional computer software.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records of State and Federal Aid Programs.
  • Review, clarify, and explain Department services, program regulations and policies to federal, state, municipal officials, specialists, and the public.
  • Coordinate transfer of technical data from engineering section to federal, state and municipal officials in the form of financial and engineering reports for individual projects.
  • Prepare program status reports for distribution to federal, state and municipal agencies or officials.
  • Monitor and track project activities to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Research, compile and summarize financial data and prepare reports and documents used in administrative decision‑making.
  • May supervise one or more clerical employees.
