Starting Annual Salary: Academy-Non-Certified Officers – $67,995.20 annually ($32.69/hr). Lateral-Certified Officers – $71,427.20 – $80,246.40 annually ($34.34 to $38.58/hr). Maximum Annual Salary – $.
Job SummaryEmployees in this position are assigned a variety of duties within the City Police Department. Duties involve protecting life and property and securing the well‑being of the citizens of the City of Concord. The officer enforces ordinances, state and federal statutes, and other regulations. Officers routinely conduct patrol, investigations, drug enforcement, or youth services. The department practices a community‑based policing operation.
All officers are expected to be able to perform a wide range of duties. An incumbent may be designated "Master Police Officer".
- Patrol the city and respond to calls for service.
- Investigate incidents and collect evidence.
- Enforce drug laws and conduct related operations.
- Provide youth services and community outreach.
- Execute all duties required by ordinance, state and federal law.
Other desirable qualifications: A bachelor's degree.
