About The Job
The Clinical Dietitian provides nutritional care and education to assigned patients and members of the community.
What You’ll Do- Provide nutrition assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to assigned patients.
- Provide nutrition education to assigned patients, students, and members of the community.
- Work as a team with other healthcare providers to ensure patients receive appropriate dietetic care.
- Document care provided in established format.
- Follow standards of nutrition care for Elliot Hospital.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to plan and perform diversified duties requiring a basic knowledge of the field of dietetics.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and problem‑solving skills in analyzing facts and conditions to determine actions within limits of standard practice.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. Graduate degree from accredited program required for those taking the registration examination for dietitians on or after 1/1/24. - Experience:
One year of dietitian experience preferred. Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare facility preferred. - Certification/Licensure:
Registered Dietitian within 90 days of hire required. Registered Dietitian at time of hire preferred. Licensed Dietitian in the State of New Hampshire within 90 days of hire required. Licensed Dietitian in the State of New Hampshire at time of hire preferred.
