Dermatology Advanced Provider

Summary

The Surgical Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant provides specialty care and chronic and acute healthcare services to patients throughout the lifespan. Functions in a specialty practice of the Concord Hospital Medical Group (CHMG) settings including office, community outreach, and inpatient. Patient care is provided in collaboration with a CHMG physician.

Five to six years of formal training or education beyond the high school level (e.g., Masters Degree or five-year program).

Prior specialty and/or site specific experience may be required based on the practice setting. New graduates may be considered.

• Obtains patient health history and performs physical examination.
• Diagnoses acute and chronic medical problems within the scope of practice.
• Provides specialty care, acute and chronic management and patient education according to practice standards.
• Develops expertise and practice standards specific to specialty program.
• Prescribes and manages medications within the practice standards.
• Meets productivity standard of the practice/department.
• Documents care provided in the medical record according to practice/department standards.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
