Job Overview

Asset Mark is a leading strategic provider of innovative solutions for independent financial advisors. We are seeking a highly skilled Release Engineer to manage the release pipeline for both modern and legacy platforms and systems. The role involves working closely with offshore release engineers and onshore release managers and contributing to day‑to‑day release and deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the technical release process for modern and legacy platforms.
  • Plan and oversee releases in collaboration with Release Managers.
  • Collaborate with application teams to ensure high‑quality, automated releases.
  • Implement and manage fully automated deployment pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, ensuring repeatable deployments across all environments.
  • Perform deployments and participate in coordinated feature releases into non‑production and production environments.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing between engineering, release management, project management, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in code quality, automation, testing, and documentation.
  • Create, manage, and maintain Azure Dev Ops pipelines using ArgoCD, Helm Charts, and Docker.
  • Implement and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to maintain scalable, reproducible environments.
  • Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), container registries, and base images to streamline deployment processes.
  • Monitor and observe application performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki for centralized logging.
  • Identify and troubleshoot application issues, performance bottlenecks, and non‑production defects.
  • Create and maintain detailed release documentation and train team members on tools and methodologies.
Required Technical Skills
  • Build and Release Automation – expertise in automating build and deployment processes across multiple environments, including automated testing.
  • Azure Dev Ops – experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and artifact management.
  • Version Control & Git – strong understanding of Git, branching strategies, and best practices.
  • ArgoCD – hands‑on experience with Git Ops‑based deployments and managing Kubernetes resources.
  • Helm Charts – expertise in creating, managing, and deploying Helm charts.
  • Docker & Containerization – solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) – experience deploying and managing containerized applications on AKS.
  • Base Images & Container Registries – managing base images, image repositories, and cloud container registries.
  • Package Management – managing approved internal code packages such as NuGet and npm.
  • App Services & Databases – managing Azure App Services, SQL Databases, Postgre

    SQL, and Mongo

    DB deployments.
  • Code Quality Tools – using Sonar Qube and Arcane for code standards and best practices enforcement.
  • Windows and Linux – experience with Windows for legacy platform and Linux for modern platform.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience with Drupal, Keycloak, .NET Core API, React.js, and Node.js microservices.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in production environments.
  • Monitoring experience with health monitoring tools and alerts; familiarity with Open Telemetry preferred.
  • Knowledge of Azure PaaS services and integration into deployment pipelines.
  • QA Automation experience supporting QA automation and CI/CD integration.
  • Infrastructure as Code – hands‑on experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $155,000–$175,000, with additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
