Data Platform Account Executive – State & Local Government (State of California) | Multi-Cloud Help Transform Government Through Data, AI, and Multi-Cloud Innovation

Oracle is seeking a high-performing Data Platform Account Executive to help the State of California modernize how agencies leverage data, analytics, AI, and cloud technologies. This role is responsible for driving strategic sales of Oracle's Data Platform portfolio across California state agencies, departments, constitutional offices, and affiliated organizations, helping customers modernize data architectures, improve constituent services, strengthen cybersecurity, and accelerate digital government initiatives.

As a trusted advisor, you will partner with executive leaders to help agencies unlock the value of enterprise data through Oracle's industry-leading Data Platform, AI, Analytics, and multi-cloud solutions.

• Develop and grow strategic relationships across State of California agencies and departments.
• Build executive relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Chief Data Officers, Agency Directors, Program Executives, and IT leadership.
• Drive sales of Oracle's Data Platform, Database, Analytics, AI, and Cloud solutions.
• Lead customer discussions around data modernization, AI adoption, analytics transformation, cybersecurity, and digital government initiatives.
• Position Oracle as a strategic partner for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud initiatives spanning Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with agency priorities and statewide technology initiatives.
• Generate, manage, and close complex enterprise opportunities while maintaining an accurate sales forecast.
• Collaborate with Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure, AI, Industry, Applications, and Solution Engineering teams to deliver customer success.
• Navigate public sector procurement processes, statewide contracts, and long‑term strategic initiatives.

This role is focused on helping California state agencies modernize enterprise data platforms, improve operational efficiency, enhance constituent services, strengthen cybersecurity, and accelerate AI-driven digital transformation.

You will work with customers to unlock greater value from enterprise data through secure, scalable, multi-cloud architectures while helping agencies address priorities such as digital service delivery, data sharing, public safety, transportation, health and human services, tax and revenue modernization, workforce modernization, financial management, regulatory oversight, and evidence-based decision making.

• 8+ years of successful enterprise technology sales experience.
• Experience selling Data Platform, Database, Analytics, AI, Cloud Infrastructure, SaaS, PaaS, or related enterprise technology solutions.
• Experience selling into State & Local Government, Public Sector, or regulated industries strongly preferred.
• Experience working with California state agencies, statewide contracts, or government procurement processes is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success selling to CIOs, CTOs, Chief Data Officers, agency executives, and senior government leaders.
