Summary and
Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment, facilities, and building systems to support efficient plant operations. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and general facility upkeep to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment.
Maintenance Technicians may work independently or collaboratively depending on experience level and may assist with equipment improvements, maintenance planning, and coordination with vendors or contractors.

Equipment Maintenance- Perform routine inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or operational issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Assist with installation, setup, and improvement of new or existing equipment.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Perform general facility maintenance including minor repairs, painting, patching walls, replacing filters, rust-proofing equipment, and basic carpentry work.
- Maintain building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure proper operation.
- Assemble or repair furniture, fixtures, and facility components as needed.
- Complete maintenance work orders and document maintenance activities in the company ERP or maintenance system.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintenance practices.
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and tools.
- Assist with ordering replacement parts and maintenance materials as needed.
- Communicate with equipment manufacturers or vendors regarding parts, service, or technical support.
- Pick up parts or coordinate deliveries when necessary.
- Collaborate with production personnel to identify equipment issues and improve reliability.
- Escort and coordinate with third-party contractors performing service or repairs.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance and facility operations.
- Follow all GMP, PPE, personnel safety, and food safety procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as required.
- Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely and according to procedures.
- Follow all company safety policies and guidelines.
- Perform other maintenance tasks or projects as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting mindset.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Basic carpentry and general repair skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
