Night Shift Injection Molding Production Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Night Shift Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety within our manufacturing plant. This role requires a unique and strong leadership skill set, a deep understanding of production operations, and the ability to lead and collaborate cross‑functionally as the only salaried employee on this shift.

• Production Oversight:
  Monitor production processes to ensure they are running smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with established quality standards and production schedules.
• Process Optimization:
  Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity. Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to develop and implement process enhancements.
• Quality Assurance:
  Maintain a keen eye for quality control, ensuring that products meet or exceed quality standards at all stages of production. Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols to minimize defects and deviations.
• Resource Management:
  Effectively allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to achieve production targets. Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of necessary inputs.
• Safety Compliance:
  Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety. Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a safety‑conscious culture among the production team.
• Reporting and Documentation:
  Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date production records, including production output, downtime, maintenance logs, and any incidents. Generate relevant reports for management review.
• Training and Development:
  Identify training needs within the production team and facilitate training programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Mentor and develop team members to promote career growth.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Contribute ideas and lead implementation efforts to streamline processes and reduce waste.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Injection Molding experience.
