About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Manufacturing Tech – Day Shift to be a part of the production team based in Concord, NC. This position directly reports to the Production Supervisor and does not supervise others.

Starting Pay & Sign‑On Bonus

Position starts at $18.50 per hour with overtime at time and a half. A $1,000 sign‑on bonus is paid in two parts: the first half after the first week of employment and the second half after six months.

Shift

Day shift from 5:50a.m. to 6:00p.m. (12‑hour shifts) on a 2‑2‑3 schedule. The site operates 24/7.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum one year in manufacturing, production or a similar environment. Must have good attendance and safety records.
  • Technical skills: Ability to multi‑task, set up and operate multiple machines; computer skills and ability to learn different software programs and scanners.
  • Key attributes: Stellar work ethic; teamwork and independence; quick learning; strong interpersonal skills; self‑motivation, collaboration, initiative, sense of urgency, and attention to detail; effective written and verbal communication; willingness to participate in and lead meetings; adherence to safety, environmental and health guidelines; high‑performing team communication; strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑resolution skills.
Key Accountabilities
  • Operate industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment such as extruders, laminators, ovens, deplyers, slitters, coaters, mixers and core slabber.
  • Use powered industrial vehicles (PIVs).
  • Prepare chemical solutions and monitor chemical processes.
  • Test chemical products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.
  • Practice excellent safety and environmentally sound habits.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment meeting facility standards.
  • Ensure general quality of all work meets company standards.
  • Maintain records and interface with multiple computer software programs for material transactions, traceability, process control, online inspection, testing and statistical process control.
  • Perform routine optical inspections and product quality tests according to written specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate logbook entries of key process and equipment events and provide observations to process and development engineers.
  • Clean assigned production equipment and perform operator‑level preventive maintenance such as changing filters and checking fluid levels.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other groups; act as a link with other departments when assigned.
  • Maintain training and cross‑training proficiencies as required for compliance.
  • Train others (new and current employees) as needed.
  • Ensure breaks and lunches are taken per policy and time is not abused.
  • Support management of data and work with supply chain and operations to maximize throughput.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and communicate accordingly.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
  • Maintain a professional and productive relationship with area management and coworkers.
  • Participate in cross‑functional teams, lead meetings as needed, and serve on assigned team roles.
  • Keep all Celgard information confidential.
Working Environment

This position is in a manufacturing plant requiring work around chemicals. The job requires standing and walking for up to 80percent of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate. You may be required to lift up to 35pounds or perform the necessary force to move objects. Celgard manufacturing sites are IATF
16949 and ISO
9001 certified.
