Racing Electronics is seeking a Production Technician to help deliver reliable communications solutions, assemble and test high-quality electronic products, support customization and repair efforts, create products that perform in demanding environments, and advance the operational excellence that customers depend on every day.

Based in Concord, NC, this role is responsible for assembling, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and packaging a variety of two-way radio and listen-only products. Working with electronic components, cables, connectors, and communications equipment, this position plays an important role in ensuring products meet the quality and performance standards our customers expect.

What You'll Do
  • Assemble, inspect, test, and package a variety of communications products, including car harnesses, headset cables, adapters, Push-To-Talk (PTT) buttons, helmet kits, surveillance kits, antenna cables, ear mold cables, circuit boards, and related components.
  • Prepare cables and wiring by stripping, tinning, shielding, and applying heat shrink materials as required.
  • Install wires, switches, buttons, cables, mounts, and other components into product housings and assemblies according to specifications.
  • Solder wires, connectors, circuit boards, transducers, speakers, microphones, switches, and other electronic components.
  • Utilize hand tools and production equipment, including cable strippers, crimpers, drills, heat guns, soldering tools, adhesives, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair assembled products and finished goods.
  • Support product customizations and special projects to meet customer requirements.
  • Operate production equipment, including over-mold machines, pad printers, and rotary engravers.
  • Complete work logs, repair documentation, and production records accurately and thoroughly.
  • Follow build schematics, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure consistent product performance.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment while meeting production goals.
  • Collaborate with team members to support quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of manufacturing, assembly, electronics, production, technical repair, or related experience preferred.
  • Soldering experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficient with company-provided hardware and software, including email and basic Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety procedures, operating instructions, and build schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and production equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work within established processes.
  • Willingness to learn a variety of production and assembly tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to accept feedback and continually improve skills and performance.
