The
McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (MSDC), an air and space museum in Concord, NH, dedicated to NH space pioneers Christa McAuliffe and Alan Shepard, seeks an
Executive Director
who is, first and foremost, an accomplished fundraiser and relationship builder. Approximately 65% of this position is dedicated to Fundraising & Revenue Development. Strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated fundraising success and established relationships in New Hampshire and New England.
The successful candidate will bring to the table:
Documented success securing major gifts, corporate sponsor ships, foundation grants, government support, and individual donations;
Demonstrated ability to identify prospects, cultivate relationships, personally make the ask, and close support;
Credible New Hampshire/New England relationships, or a compelling ability and willingness to build them quickly;
Ability to work effectively with a Board and engage Board members as fundraising partners;
Leadership and financial-management experience appropriate for an organization with approximately $1.2 million in annual operations and a combined full- and part-time staff of 19.
