Position: Registered Nurse Psych  NARDC5736204

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioural disorders. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role involves collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive, patient-centred care.

8x5, 40 hours/week

Shift
  • 1st shift RN position, 6:45am to 3:15pm. (X1) – 5/8’s – 40 hours only.
  • 2nd shift RN position, 2:45pm to 11:15pm. (X1) – 5/8’s – 40 hours only.
Location

Concord NH 03301 (Onsite Role)

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in related field

Experience

Minimum 2 Years of Psych RN experience working in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans
  • Administer and monitor psychotropic medications and treatments
  • Monitor patients for side effects, adverse reactions, and behavioural changes
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed
  • Maintain patient safety and therapeutic environment
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
  • Participate in discharge planning and aftercare coordination
  • Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN preferred)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • CPI or de-escalation training (preferred)
