Responsibilities

Assists in planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of operations and patient care in designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients. Functions as a staff nurse as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager. Performs duties in a manner consistent with mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

Mercy Hospice Supervisor – St. Louis and surrounding communities

Work hours:

Monday–Thursday 7 a.m.–7 p.m.;
Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7 a.m.–7 p.m.

Qualifications
  • Required education:
    Associate’s, Diploma or BSN in Nursing.
  • Preferred education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Preferred experience:

    2–3 years in related nursing field.
  • Licensure: current RN license in hiring state or compact license. Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Certifications:

    Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse preferred; ACLS required.
  • Physical requirements:

    able to push, pull, lift 50 lbs regularly; prolonged standing, walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed.
