Travel Stepdown RN – Fusion Medical Staffing

Location:

Keene, New Hampshire. Assignment: 13‑week travel assignment. One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN required.

• Provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical‑surgical or general inpatient units.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during cardiac‑related procedures and examinations.
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of cardiac status and response to interventions.
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies.
• Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients.
• Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
• Technical/motor skill to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and assist with procedures and department equipment.
• Ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Work under close supervision occasionally and independently when appropriate.
• Visual acuity and effective communication skills.
