Housekeeping | Part Time | Evening

Summary

Reporting to the Department Director, and under direct supervision of the Manager, cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls, and other areas by performing duties according to established and approved procedures.

• High school education.
• No certification, registration, or licensure required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand labels and instructions.
• Good customer service skills.
• Must have completed all required job‑specific training.

Recruitment bonus applies to external candidates only. If hired and you meet our criteria, you would receive a $125 payout at 30 days and a $125 payout at 6 months of employment, totaling $250.

If previously worked at Concord Hospital, you must have been separated for at least one year since termination to be eligible.

• Complete all required job specific training.
• Properly clean and disinfect all surfaces.
• Follow proper procedures related to germicidal usage, isolation room cleaning, baseboard cleaning, televisions, telephones, wall washing, door frames and kick plates, stainless steel surfaces, and glass cleaning.
• Follow high and low dusting procedures related to ceilings/vents, high dusting, and damp dusting (low).
• Follow dry and wet mopping procedures.
• Follow vacuuming and baseboard cleaning procedures.
• Follow all bathroom cleaning procedures, including shower, tub, and commodes.
• Follow waste handling and disposal procedures.
• Follow CARES (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm, and Service) behaviors and provide proper customer service.
• Maintain storage areas and housekeeping cart.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee is frequently required to bend, perform fine motor tasks, execute repetitive motions, hear, reach, smell, speak, and squat. The employee is occasionally required to climb, kneel, sit, and stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, far vision, near vision, and peripheral vision.

The employee is frequently exposed to airborne contaminants, airborne pathogens, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids, moving mechanical parts, and slippery surfaces. The employee is occasionally exposed to chemotherapeutic agents, electrical hazards – shock, non‑weather related heat or cold, toxic or caustic chemicals, variable weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
