Start date:
09/14/2026. Travel - temporary assignment for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,095–$2,217 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights (12x3). Work setting: hospital-based Med Surg unit in a travel assignment.

Med Surg travel assignment in a hospital
- Deliver direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including those with high acuity such as COPD, pneumonia, CHF, DKA, DM1/2, pleural effusions, and pneumothorax (may involve chest tubes/ Pleurex drainage as needed)
- Monitor vital signs, assess and document status, administer medications, manage IVs and infusion devices, and perform nursing procedures per plan of care
- Provide respiratory support when needed, including trachs, vents, BiPAP, and high-flow therapies; maintain Telemetry monitoring
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, respond to changes in patient condition, elevate to charge or physician as appropriate, and document care comprehensively
- Maintain staffing ratios on a high-acuity Med Surg floor (typical unit capacity 12–16 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4–5, sometimes
6); participate in contingent float within scope to adjacent units as required - Participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives, ensure accurate handoffs during shifts, and support patient and family education
- Locals may be considered at local rate (within 50 miles) per assignment rules; RTO (time off) must be included at submission
- EMR experience:
Cerner is preferred; experience is helpful but not required
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or a valid NH Compact license at time of submission;
Nursys license verification for all active RN licenses - Current BLS required; NHISS needed prior to start; ACLS preferred
- 1–2 years minimum Med Surg experience; will consider Critical Care RNs as long as comfortable with med-surg ratios and acuity
- Telemetry competence; comfortable caring for high-acuity med-surg patients and using relevant monitoring equipment
- Education:
graduate of an approved nursing program with RN licensure - Ability to work in a high-acuity Med Surg setting and to float to nearby units within scope
- RTO must be included at submission
