- Experience with intravenous drips, such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone

- Experience with blood draws

Description:

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a medical/surgical setting. The unit has 21 beds and focuses on neuro-related medical conditions. Care includes managing neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, and providing support in a primary stroke center. The responsibilities include caring for patients with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. The role also involves assisting in surgical cases such as tumor resections and spinal surgery.

Additionally, this unit operates as a Level IV epilepsy center, offering specialized care with implanted electrodes and scalp leads. Candidates must be familiar with care related to complex medical needs and post-operative protocols. All applicants should be prepared for a dynamic work environment and possess the ability to handle critical patient care effectively.
