Job Description
The Parks and Recreation department is looking for seasonal maintenance workers to help maintain the parks and green spaces of Concord. Employees typically work 40 hours a week Monday to Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm with an unpaid 30 minute lunch.

Job SummaryPerforms various routine duties involving the maintenance of the City of Concord's municipal parks, athletic fields, playgrounds and roadsides. May operate equipment and trucks as assigned and licensed. Works under the supervision of the Park Supervisor or his/her designee. Laborer may work unattended as needed or instructed by supervisor. Applicants must be 16 years old or older.
Examples of Duties- Mowing, trimming, weeding, irrigating, raking, fertilizing, shoveling, pruning trees, planting trees, planting shrubs and flowers, mulching flower beds.
- Perform custodial duties, maintain buildings and equipment.
- Follow and enforce department rules and regulations.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- A valid NH Operator's motor vehicle license is required for all applicants 18 years and older.
- Passing a driver history and criminal background check is required for this job for those applicants 18 years and older.
- CPR and First Aid Certification is recommended but not required at the time of hire.
Material and Equipment Used: Mowers, trimmers, hand tools, shovels, backpack blowers, snow and ice removal equipment, hand and shop power tools, custodial tools and equipment, specialty turf maintenance equipment, field maintenance equipment, AED, telephone.
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, or as scheduled, up to 40 hours per week.
