RETAIL SALESPERSON I

Location:

US: NH (New Hampshire).

Employment type:

Part-Time, up to 28 Hours per week.

Hourly Rate: $15.93. Overtime on Sundays: $23.89 (time and a half).

Provide exceptional customer service in a retail outlet environment by greeting and assisting customers, processing customer purchases, and maintaining alcohol product merchandising in accordance with New Hampshire Liquor Commission rules, policies, and procedures. Learn about store products and inventory to sell and promote them.

• Provide exceptional customer service and strive for excellence when welcoming and assisting customers, building relations, and protecting the NH Liquor Commission’s reputation.
• Assist customers by answering questions, helping locate alcohol products, providing product advice, recommending products, and selling alcohol products, lottery sweepstakes, and lottery tickets.
• Accept payments and make change while operating a cash register, scanner, credit card/debit card terminal, and lottery ticket dispensing machine, and properly wrap or bag merchandise following Cash Control and Security policies.
• Learns and adheres to current laws and Commission policies regulating sale of alcohol, including prohibited sales policies. Attend yearly Liquor Outlet Training Seminar (LOTS) to maintain knowledge of current policies, procedures, processes, and laws.
• Unload delivery trucks, arrange and stock alcohol products, and create merchandising displays on the sales floor while maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly workplace.
• Apply training and protocols to guard against fraudulent or counterfeit payments, observe customer behavior, and verify purchaser age per current laws.
• Reconcile records of sales or other financial transactions. Assist in counting physical inventory.

• Minimum education:
  
  8th grade (high school) or equivalent.
• No license or certification required.
• Must be able to continuously lift material up to 25 pounds and perform frequent lifting tasks.
