Retail Sales Associate

Pet Smart is seeking a full-time Retail Sales Associate passionate about pets and customer service. In this role, you'll greet pet parents, assess their needs, and recommend food, supplies, and services that support pet health and happiness. You'll operate the register, process transactions, and enroll customers in loyalty programs. You'll stock shelves, maintain clean, safe aisles, and support inventory. You'll share knowledge of grooming, training, and adoption programs while living Pet Smart's pet-first culture of teamwork, inclusion, and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to understand pet and product needs, offering personalized recommendations and solutions
• Operate POS system accurately for purchases, returns, and loyalty sign-ups
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor, shelves, and merchandising displays
• Assist with inventory tasks including stocking, rotating products, and conducting counts
• Educate customers on pet nutrition, care, and Pet
• Smart services such as grooming, training, and boarding
• Support in-store adoption and community events, representing Pet
• Smart's pet-first culture
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and store policies to protect pets, customers, and associates
• Collaborate with teammates to meet sales, service, and productivity goals
