The RoleWe’re hiring a Technical Sales & Account Development Specialist to strengthen new relationships, manage inbound customer inquiries and support all stages of our customer engagement process. This is a critical role that bridges technical understanding, customer communication, and business development.
You’ll serve as the first point of contact for prospects, helping them choose the right product, preparing quotes, and guiding them through the sales process. It’s not cold calling or outside sales — it’s about turning interest into action and building relationships that last.
You’ll strengthen business sustainability by developing new prospects and leads into customers and long-term relationships. While the majority of your efforts occur at ABTech’s facility in Fitzwilliam;
You’ll also travel (25%-50%) to attend trade shows and to visit customer’s facilities for introductions, follow-on meetings and customer service visits to support and strengthen these relationships.
- Nurture early-stage relationships and move them through the sales pipeline
- Nurture and support account development with pre-scheduled site visits, especially with key OEM prospects and customers.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account development
- Share customer feedback with internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement
- Attend trade shows:
Help with booth setup and tear down, network and prospect for new opportunities, qualify and capture leads, demonstrate products, gather feedback and market intelligence. - Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, production) to ensure smooth handoffs
- Respond to and manage inbound customer inquiries and leads
- Provide product guidance and help customers identify the right solutions
- Generate accurate and timely quotes based on customer requirements
- Maintain detailed records and communication in the CRM system

- 3+ years of experience in inside sales, applications, customer service, or sales support — ideally in precision manufacturing, engineering, or industrial settings
- A strong technical aptitude and interest in manufacturing processes or precision components
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience using CRM tools and quoting software (or willingness to learn)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
